• To address the main concepts of production planning and control (PPC) systems. review reference architectures for PPC. identify impact Industry 4.0 technologies on a smart PPC system. propose conceptual framework system dubbed as SPPC4.0. This article aims to introduce challenge (i.e., integration new collaborative models tools) posed by automation collaboration industrial processes in (I4.0) factories. Small- medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are particularly confronted with technological organisational changes, but systems I4.0 context is lacking. The contributions this to: (i) functions making up traditional (SPPC 4.0); (ii) analyse systems; (iii) that provides systematic structuring how operates context, SPPC 4.0.
